Pursuing Virtue
“…timely and relevant; it helps readers meditate on this most important subject and decide for themselves what they can do to reach the high ideal Srila Prabhupada and the previous acharyas expected of them.”
— Bhakti Vijnana Goswami
In the writing of this book, Sesa Dasa adopts the definition of virtue which emphasizes more of the foundational role of virtues as facilitating our endeavors, as opposed to virtues as ends in themselves.
Aiming to inspire virtue within the heart of the reader, Sesa Dasa teaches how to use that virtue to fashion fresh alternatives to the problems overwhelming the world in modern times.
By exploring a wide range of applications in which virtue can support us (family, community, society, science, government, etc.) The author explores each virtue, offers a meditation meant to more deeply examine the meaning and application of each virtue, and a reading that provides a practical application for why virtue matters. Many stories of virtue come from the Mahabharata and are brought into modern application to further the understanding of virtue and its importance both historically, and especially in today’s world.
